ASEN PROGRAMS

General Protection

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to support Protection Monitoring to identify Protection concerns/human rights violations of the vulnerable IDPs and conflict-affected people in the target locations through the protection monitoring system.

Gender-Based Violence

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to strengthen case management through direct service provision for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and immediate lifesaving assistance to vulnerable populations through comprehensive case management and psycho-social support (PSS), including emergency care, referral to medical teams.

Child Protection

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to support girls and boys to have adequate access to child protection services and are protected from violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation at home and in the community and ensures that affected children are receiving appropriate support through the case management process.

Education

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to support community access in a dignified way while coordinating with government ministries and other stakeholders focusing on quality education. In its programs, African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) will focus on children from the most vulnerable, marginalized, and minorities.

Health and Nutrition

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to improve and promote sustainable nutrition and the provision of primary healthcare services to vulnerable communities by targeting child health and maternal health to save the life of expectant women / pregnant mothers and infants.

Food security and livelihood

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable community members through the provision of conditional and unconditional cash transfers which can empower economic and skill development in minority and marginalized communities.

WASH

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to improve access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities the minorities, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and vulnerable host communities in Somalia, through working with institutions like schools and health facilities in order to address the challenges of water, sanitation and hygiene in the respective communities and ultimately restoring the dignity of the affected populations.

Camp Coordination

African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to improve and ensure that internally displaced persons (IDPs) have equitable access to services such as humanitarian assistance and protection to improve their quality of life and dignity. Additionally, African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) aims to support the improvement of site maintenance and site monitoring capacities to improve the living conditions of the IDPs and minority communities and where applicable with of cash for work activities.

Shelter and NFI

In the immediate aftermath of a disaster or crisis, African Social Empowerment Network (ASEN) provides options that support emergency shelters to ensure the affected population has a safe place to stay. These include Shelter NFI to strengthen affected shelters during the crisis.
